Hey Ashley! Met u at Tenkara Summit. Love ur posts but u need to update! Its 10/13/11! How are u, whats happenin, been Tenkara fishin? love to hear and update from you…..TIMMY!
I am amazed how some people are not open minded about the style to fly fish.growing up in Hawaii we used long bamboo poles to get the bait out to fish.my father once told me that you have to be open minded when fishing.
I don’t what rod Yvon uses, but we do have a picture of him using it. Daniel Galhardo or Craig Mathews may know what rod it is. I think Brian said it was from Italy, but I am not sure.
It won’t be on iTunes anytime soon. We’re working on it, but it can be difficult to get on that platform, especially if the title is not a feature film or TV show.
Ashley,
I am writing because I saw that you have the new Tenkara Fly Tying DVD out. I am very interested in checking it out sometime. Please contact me at your convenience so that we may discuss this.
Just wanted to let you know I love the DVD and am currently working on the review. Thank you so much and I hope I can do all I can to help in anyway possible.
Graham,
Thanks for the kind words about the DVD. Looking forward to hearing your review!

Alan Graham
Hi Alan,
I’m sorry I don’t know of anyone in Texas. You may have luck checking the Tenkara USA forums.

can you catch a 3 to 5 pound bass on a tenkara rod
No doubt this is possible and there are some bass fishermen over on the Tenkara USA forums. The Yamame or Amago rods would probably be best for this.
hi
What tenkara rod does yvon use? is that what you recommend i purchase?
thanks

What camera and gear do you shoot your pics and video with?
Steven,
It’s usually a Canon 5D Mark II.
Will your new fly tying DVD be available at the Summit this weekend?
Thanks
Oops — we missed this comment. But, yes, it was there.
Any chance your video will be available in iTunes? I would love to have it on my iPad so I can watch while tying.
PS I ordered our video as a gift for my dad…got it today so waiting to hear the review.

What are your favorite lenses to uses with the 5d for filming people fish?
Steven,
We use the Canon 400mm, 135mm and any number of zooms usually. The longer the focal length the better to see those thin tenkara lines.
